Elder Carlton Young

Elder Carlton Young was born and raised in Chicago, IL. He served the city as a Chicago Public School Teacher for 30 years until his retirement in 2018. Teaching wasn’t just teaching for him, it was also a ministry. Elder Young received his Bachelor of Science in Education and his Master’s Degree from The American College of Education in Educational Leadership.

In 1987 Elder Young felt a void in his life. Partying was no longer satisfying to him and the worldly things that used to bring joy no longer did. After being ministered to by Magarette Stevens, now Bishop Stevens, he made the decision to take a walk down the aisle at Vernon Park Church of God and give his life to Christ.

After receiving salvation, Elder Young was thrust into the position as Musician and Minister of Music at Love Outreach A.M.E Church on the west side of Chicago; It was there in 1994 he answered the call to join the preaching ministry, that same year his son was diagnosed with an incurable illness; it was his faith and obedience that brought him and his family through that time. God has called Elder Young to minister to the sick, broken-hearted, and the youth.

Over the years Elder Young has served as Associate Minister and Associate Pastor at various Ministries. The Lord has led him to NBICM where he currently serves as the Minister of Music, Baptist, and Sunday School Teacher. He flows heavily in the areas of the prophetic and deliverance; while preaching and teaching under the anointing of the Holy Ghost.

Elder Young is the father of 2 grown children and grandfather to 3.
